Following the success of the Hamilton Jazz Festivals in 2006 and 2007 the Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce and its co-festival organisers are pleased to announce that the 2008 Festival is being extended to become the Hamilton Jazz & Blues Festival.

This year's Festival will take place from the 5th to 7th September 2008 at various venues across the town.

Launching this year's Festival on Friday 5th September in the Town House will be The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra directed by Tommy Smith (pictured below) who will present Rhapsody in Blue featuring Brian Kellock, plus the music of Joe Williams & Ray Charles featuring Scotland's premier Blues singer Tam White.

A full programme will also take place over the other days of the festival whenonce again be joined by some of Scotland's best Jazz musicians at some great venues.
